Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-06-25 — Pre-launch attorney review pending.

1. What This Covers

This Privacy Policy describes how Florida Property API collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Florida Property API service. Florida Property API is an independent data platform and is not affiliated with the Florida Department of Revenue, any county property appraiser or tax collector, LienHub, RealAuction, TaxCertSale, or any government agency.

2. Public-Records Data

The property records made available through the Service originate from public sources: county property-appraiser and FDOR assessment-roll parcel data, recorded sales, and delinquent-tax / tax-certificate records from county tax collectors and certificate-sale portals. Information published in those sources (owner names, site addresses, parcel identifiers, assessed and just values, sale dates and prices, delinquency status, and certificate numbers) is public record under Florida Statutes Chapter 119 and is republished by the Service in its original public form.

3. Account Data

When you create an account or API key, Florida Property API stores: your email address (for billing and communication), an HMAC-SHA256 hash of your API key (never the raw key), and per-request usage events (endpoint, status, timestamp, response time, client identifier). Account data is used to provide the Service, enforce quotas, and improve reliability.

4. Cookies and Tracking

The marketing site uses essential cookies only. We do not employ third-party advertising trackers. Server logs retain IP addresses for abuse mitigation and rate-limiting purposes.

5. Data Sharing

Florida Property API does not sell account data. Subprocessors (payment processor, hosting provider, error reporting) receive only the minimum information required to perform their function under contractual data-protection terms.

6. Takedown and Correction

To request suppression of a public-records property record that includes personal information about you, see the FCRA Notice and email takedowns@floridapropertyapi.com. Verified requests are honored within 7 days.

7. Security

Florida Property API uses HTTPS for all data in transit, hashed credentials, and least-privilege access controls. No service can be entirely secure; report suspected vulnerabilities to security@floridapropertyapi.com.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to individuals under 16. Florida Property API does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes

Florida Property API may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the Service or by email to account holders.
